Amazon has dropped the price of its second-generation Echo Show to £190 as part of a huge eight-day-long spring sale promotion. Normally retailing at £220, you can currently pick one up for £30 less than it usually goes for.
The second-generation Amazon Echo Show is an upgrade on the previous model in pretty much every way, with new speakers for better sound, a 10in HD screen and lovely fabric design. As you'd expect, it works seamlessly with Alexa, allowing you to stream from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and Audible as well as watch shows on Prime Video and make video calls.
Our 4-star review praised its design, bigger and sharper screen and its improved speakers and microphone. Amazon is also throwing in a free Philips Hue White Bulb E27 (worth £13).
The Echo Show is a particular revelation in the kitchen. Combining the key functionality of a smart speaker and a tablet, you can watch recipe videos, set timers and compile a shopping list without switching.
